A Maretto project
Gniezno.xyz
A local news website with a new magazine-style layout and a mobile app for the people of Gniezno.
The new magazine layout
About the project
Gniezno.xyz is a local news website bringing together news, events and announcements for Gniezno and the surrounding area. The new magazine-style layout highlights the story of the day, large photographs and a clear headline hierarchy. Red accents and restrained typography give the site an editorial character.
The home page combines a live news ticker, a carousel of lead stories, a “Worth knowing” section and a grid of recent news. Topic sections, search and a light/dark theme switch make the content easier to explore. The layout adapts to desktop and mobile screens. A companion mobile app provides local news and alerts.
